Cubbed Into Submission

Y'know as happy as I was to see my Mets play the role of spoiler by taking two out of three from the Cubbies last weekend, it really pains me to watch them slowly implode. It's like watching the door of your car sloooooooowly close with the keys still in the ignition.

Now it really looks like we're going to get St. Louis-LA, Atlanta-Houston division matchups in the NL. *yawn*

Am I totally off-base here? Is there anyone out there who would rather watch either of those series over any of the possible AL matchups? To me anyway, losing the Cubs from the postseason really takes a lot of the excitement out of the NL.

And the Cubs have no one but themselves to blame.
