Well this is the last time I hype a prospect for doing well in a limited performance. Ladies and gentleman, I present to you Royce Ring's line from last night's AFL game:

NYM R.Ring (L,2-1) 1.1 6 5 5 1 0 0 6.43

Fug-ly. I'm going to be quiet now and go back to my science.

Jay, you say Cameron isn't moving from center in Part I, but then say the Mets have to get Beltran in Part II...? I'm little confused. Both guys say they are not moving, what are you saying? Personally, I think they should go after Ordonez, has better numbers than Beltran except for stolen bases, and will come cheaper. Of course that is assuming Ordonez is given a full bill of health.

Again, I haven't compared Beltran's and Cameron's defensive stats (and Cameron did have an off year this year for him), however I'm willing to bet that Cameron is still the better defender than Beltran. Thus my main preference is to keep Cameron in center.

However if moving Cameron was the only way to get Beltran to come, then we should ask him to move. That wouldn't be my first choice though.

As for Ordonez, y'know I'd just wait on him. With his injury this season, he's probably not going to sign until both Beltran and Drew are off the market and, even then, I wouldn't sign him to more than a one year deal. It's just not worth the risk.
